The History of Bitumen Asphalt Concrete Roads, Ecopave Australia research is proud to introduce a product called GEO320 MRH (Mastic Roller Hybrid) biobitumen asphalt concrete for road paving, What is GEO320 MRH?, GEO320 is environmentally [eco] friendly revolutionary breakthrough adhesives binder technology made from non petroleum based low molecular weight, water soluble waste raw materials resources. Bitumen made using the GEO320 MRH binder technology can now be manufactured using raw materials such as i.e., sugar, natural rubber (latex), tree resins, gum rosins, lignin, cellulose and edible vegetable oils and materials such as molasses waste, palm, coconut, peanut, canola, oils and potato and rice starches.
The GEO320 MRH BioBitumen based Asphalt is made using (MM) Micro Mastic Matrix technology also developed by Ecopave Australia, what this means is that asphalt application thickness from 1mm ultra thin surface coatings to 200mm full load bearing road constructions are now possible with the largest stone in the asphalt mix not having to be greater than 10mm in size. GEO320 MRH bitumen is also made from the fractional distillation and or Hydrogenation bottoms and or waste acquired from recycling used motor oils and prescribed oil waste feed stocks, in other words bitumen can now be manufactured from non-petrochemicals, food stuffs and plant materials [biomass] as well as from a variety of waste petrochemical feedstock material sources to convert these into stand alone road grade bitumen equivalent eg, CL320, 600, multi grade or pigmentable bitumen that perform better than conventional residue bitumen.
GEO320™ or Bio-pave™ do not compete with world food resources because they can be manufactured solely from waste food and vegetable and plant (biomass) and oil based [petroleum] waste feed stock raw materials, in fact GEO320 Biobitumen™ promotes the production of more food and plant cultivation of which wastes can be utilized and converted to GEO320 and Biopave based road grade bitumen bioasphalt™.
The Biopave® binder product is based on the GEO320 binder technology which can be used as an additive in Cement, Concrete and Masonry paving's and bricks, paints and protective coatings, especially in road line marking applications and general purpose adhesive formulations. The interesting feature with Biopave is that up to 60% can be used as a binder replacement substitute in conventional cement concrete paving and bricks which will help reduce the high CO2 emissions (+ 5% globally) in the paving brick manufacturing stage and help combat global warming and help our environment with no loss to the paver performance...
